Gary Alecock is an experienced International business manager with over 30 years experience in the Plastics Intermediates business. After a 16 year career with a major European Chemical company 8 years of which was based in Asia Pacific managing business units in Greater China and Indonesia . During the late 90's he returned to the UK and acquired a business which he later sold and returned to Shanghai . Since returning to Shanghai Gary has developed his knowledge of Chinese culture and is fluent in written and spoken mandarin attending a full time course at Shanghai Donghua's University of International Cultural Exchange.
In addition to his role as Chairman of a Shanghai based Colour Masterbatch company and running his own business advisory firm specializing in China Gary joined Baird Partners in 2011 .
